Product: Skimmed Milk Powder
Processing Operation :
Pasteurised separated cows milk, of approximately 9% total
solids is evaporated and spray dried to produce a finished product
not exceeding 3.5% moisture and 1% fat content.
The skimmed milk powder is passed through a fine screen and
metal detector and may be stored in silos prior to packing.
Additives: N/A
Product Appearance:
The product is a creamy-white free flowing powder, free from
lumps (except those that break up readily under slight pressure)
coloured particles and foreign matter.
Organoleptic Standard:
Clean, free from off flavours and foreign odours
When reconstituted in the ratio by weight of 1 part to 9 parts
of distilled water, the product is to be characteristic of skimmed
milk.
